Let Better do the work:

I partner withBetter, a new company that helps consumers with reimbursement for out-of-network providers.

It's very simple. Just register withBetter. Get a copy of your bill from your provider. Take a picture of it and send it toBetter. They will take care of getting you paid your reimbursement.  Better charges 10% of the money you get back.  Any claims applied to your deductible or not paid by your insurance are processed free.

  • I work on a sliding scale of $75 to $130 an hour. *

I treat the following with adults and adolescents:

  • anxiety                                             Co-Dependency
  • depression                                        Grief
  • trauma/PTSD                                    OCD
  • Phobias                                             Relationship Issues
  • Panic Attacks                                    Self-Esteem
  • Sexual Abuse/Assault                        Physical Abuse
  • Borderline Personality Disorder        Bi-Polar Disorder

You do the work:

Questions to ask your insurance provider prior to seeking out-of-network counseling:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many mental health sessions per calendar year does my insurance plan cover?
  • How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network mental health provider?
  • How do I obtain reimbursement for therapy with an out-of-network provider?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

*Why self-pay?

Many clients choose not to involve insurance companies in their mental health care. Their counseling is not limited by diagnosis, treatment plan or session limits that health insurance companies dictate. By paying privately, I can assure you of the highest degree of privacy, flexibility and control of your mental health record. In addition, many insurance companies require a deductible to be met before they start paying, so you may be paying out of pocket anyway.
